Principal's News
This week our second graders had the opportunity to get up close and personal with a fascinating array of creatures at an Animal Adventures Enrichment Program. Students were amazed as they touched and interacted with some incredible animals, including a wise owl, a friendly alligator, a resilient armadillo, and a spirited badger. Along with smiles, this hands-on experience brought us some interesting information that helped us learn about the diverse animals in our world. Special thanks to our PTO for bringing this engaging program to our students!

Nurse's News
With the changing of seasons, it's crucial to stay vigilant about nutrition and hygiene, particularly in the ongoing effort to keep our students healthy and thriving.
Nutrition Matters!
Start the Day Right: Encourage your child to begin each day with a nutritious breakfast. Foods rich in protein, fiber, and essential vitamins and minerals help provide the energy needed for a productive day of learning.
Pack Smart Snacks: Opt for snacks that are both tasty and nutritious. Fresh fruits, vegetables, yogurt, and whole-grain crackers are excellent choices that fuel the body and mind without unnecessary added sugars or unhealthy fats.
Hydration is Key: Remind your child to drink plenty of water throughout the day. Proper hydration supports concentration, digestion, and overall well-being. Send them to school with a refillable water bottle to make staying hydrated convenient.
Guarding Against Germs!
Hand Hygiene: Emphasize the importance of regular hand washing to your child. Encourage them to wash their hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially before eating, after using the restroom, and after coughing or sneezing.
Covering Coughs and Sneezes: Teach your child to cover their mouth and nose with a tissue or their elbow when coughing or sneezing to prevent the spread of germs. Discard used tissues promptly and wash hands afterward.
Staying Home When Sick: If your child is feeling unwell, it's crucial to keep them home from school to prevent the spread of illness to others. Encourage rest and hydration, and consult with a healthcare provider as needed.
If you have any concerns about your child's health, or illnesses that may occur during the school year, please notify the school nurse at 781-319-3985.
Remember, a healthy child is a happy and successful learner.
