If you haven’t ordered your yearbook yet, there is still time. The last day to order one is December 20 (The last day before Winter Break). Order a yearbook today by logging into Parent Vue and completing the purchase online, or you can send a check/cash in the amount of $25.00 to our Bookkeeper, located in the office. Checks need to be made out to OTMS.

Boys Basketball
Boys basketball will begin after the winter break. 8th Graders interested need to have paperwork including a physical dated after May 1, 2019. These need to be turned in before a student can participate. See the link below for the athletic packet and physical form.

Bond 2020 voter registration & community information sessions
Bond 2020 voter registration & community information sessions
In January 2020, all Blue Valley registered voters will receive mail ballots for the no tax rate increase $186,835,000 bond election that will reinvest in facilities and technology, reinforce school safety and reimagine learning environments and programs.
Register to vote
Registered voters who live in the district will automatically receive a mail ballot. Not registered? If you register to vote by Dec. 27 you will also automatically receive a mail ballot. If you register between Dec. 28-Jan. 8 you will need to request a ballot from the Johnson County Election Office. Please note registered voters do not need to register separately for the Blue Valley bond election.

End of Semester Information Regarding Grades & Canvas
End of Semester Information
At the end of the day on Friday, Dec. 20, courses in Canvas will conclude and will no longer be visible on the Canvas Parent app. A concluded course is only visible through the Canvas Website.
To view first semester courses and grades after Dec. 20, open Canvas in a web browser, log in and click on Course’s tab. Click View All Courses and scroll down to find the past enrollments. Access Past Enrollment guide (Video tutorial)
Final exam scores and other individual assignment grades can be viewed in Canvas. Semester grades reports will be published on ParentVUE in January.

BVEF's 9th Annual "Battle of the Bands"
BVEF’s Battle of the Bands Raises Money for Performing Arts Programs
Don't miss BVEF's 9th Annual Battle of the Bands on Jan. 18th, 2020, from 6-9 p.m. at Kanza Hall, 7300 W. 119th St. This is a community-wide event for those over 21, featuring four bands made up of Blue Valley parents, teachers, and staff. All proceeds benefit BV schools’ performing arts programs.
Tickets are ONLY $25 if purchased before the event and include:
Admission to Kanza Hall
Live performances by four BV parent and staff bands
Appetizers and dessert
An after-party right next door at Local Tap with the Butch Carson Band
KC Chiefs’ Trent and Julie Green are honorary chairs and attendees can enjoy a fantastic silent auction including a Toner Jewelry pull and gift baskets provided from many BV schools! This years’ bands are made up of representatives from BVNW, BVSW, BVHS, Prairie Star Middle and Stanley Elementary!
The audience chooses the winning band and they receive a $250 grant to the Blue Valley school of their choice!

BVN Pink Out to Benefit American Cancer Society
BVN is hosting Pink Out Coaches vs Cancer games benefiting the American Cancer Society on Tuesday, January 14th at 7:00 PM and Friday, January 17th at 7:30 PM. They will be sending students to sell Pink Out shirts during lunch on the 14th and 17. The shirts will be $15 and all proceeds go to the American Cancer Society!
