#3 In Case You Missed It
7th & 8th STEM Exploration
7th and 8th Grade STEM Exploration students teamed up to apply concepts and problem solving from math and science in a competition to build marble roller coasters. Teams had to work together to plan, construct, test, and improve their own unique coaster that stayed within given constraints and criteria. Students were given the opportunity to see each roller coaster in action and vote on the best design in each class. Pictured are the winning roller coasters from each of the 3 competing classes. Everyone did a great job!
Building Bridges
Students in Mr. Elliott's Elective class just completed their research into the designs, materials, costs, and environmental impacts that building bridges can cause. Students have started to build models of the bridge type they feel is the most cost-effective and environmentally friendly for Belmont County.
Owl Pellet Dissection
