THANK YOU!

I want to give my heart felt thanks for everyone that attended the BSU Cultural Night. There were so many families. I know the students felt supported. EVERYTHING was amazing, the food, the entertainment, the art work, the decorations, petting zoo and the time spent together honoring so many individuals. I hope you enjoyed yourself and we look forward to having this night as an annual event.

Well, I know I have said, I can't believe it is already....Well, I cannot believe that Spring Break is fast approaching and we are ending our 3rd nine weeks. Which means, we are 10 weeks away from the end of school! That statement brings tears to my eyes. We still have a lot to do, lots of memories to make and hard work to accomplish.

I wanted to share that our Middle School Science Olympiad Team won State last weekend. Amazing group of girls. Led by Mrs. Barrientez & Mrs. Ansari. Congratulations and well done to all our teams that competed.

I hope you are planning something big for spring break.

The venue this year is at the Eventi: A Verona Villa Venue, at 7511 E Main Street, Frisco TX, 75034. **Please don't forget if you are bringing a date from another school you must get a request document from Mrs. Bowden. There will be snacks and drinks provided, a DJ and a 360 photobooth

On Wednesday, March 27th, the In-N-Out Food Truck will be at both campuses during regular lunch times.

Order In-N-Out meal tickets here. You can pay for multiple tickets in one transaction, however, please enter each student individually because their grade level and teacher names differ. • Each meal ticket is $5
• Each meal comes with one burger/sandwich, one bag of chips and one beverage. There are five options to choose from.
• Meal tickets will be delivered to each student on the day of the event.
• Elementary students will get their meal tickets in their classroom.
• Secondary students will get their meal tickets in their 3rd mod classrooms.
• Online ticket sales close on Friday, March 22nd!
• Meal tickets are final sale.

The 10th grade mock interviews are coming up on Tuesday, March 5, 2024!! We are excited to have professionals from our community business partners and LPS families that will assist us in conducting the interviews. I met with all of the 10th grade students this Thursday to go over the schedule of the day(what , expectations on dress and behavior, calming techniques if they are nervous, and what they can expect from the interviewers.

A few important reminders:

*This is a big part of the student's grade in their Family and Community Leadership class. Please make arrangements for your student to be present at school on Tuesday, March 5th.

*Students are required to wear professional dress on the day of the interviews. If students are unable to wear professional dress, they are able to wear their school uniform. If dresses or skirts are worn for professional dress, dress code will be enforced. (skirts/dresses length must be no shorter than 4 inches above the floor when kneeling)

*If students wear professional dress to school, they are able to bring their school uniform to change into after their interview. (students must be in uniform or professional dress only)

We are excited and look forward to the success and growth of our students though this event!!
