The Primary family is devoted to educating and inspiring all students academically, socially, and emotionally by giving our love and instilling integrity. We will model the importance of family, faith, and wisdom with our leaders of tomorrow.

Vision Statement

The vision at Pleasanton Primary School is to equip and empower a community of life-long learners with the foundation to lead and succeed in our rapidly changing world.

April Monthly Goals

ECSE

Language Arts-Students will create Easter art and spring activities, learn location/positional words, and mammals/farm animals. Students will also work on the letters X, Y, Z, sight words and counting.

Math-Students will work on learning about money and counting money.

Pre-K

Language Arts-Students will be able to identify 20-26 uppercase and lowercase letters and produce 18-20 sounds.

Math-Students will be able to identify 11 numbers, count 9-10 sets 0-10 and count to 28.

Kindergarten

Language Arts-Students will be able to read CVC words.

Math-Students will be able to identify 2 dimensional & 3 dimensional shapes in our environment.

First Grade

Language Arts-Students will decode and spell words with the following spelling rules au,aw,ou,ow, oi and oy.(toy, coin, crawl).

Comprehension: Students will recognize characteristics of non-fiction books such as chronological order and patterns.

Math-Students will build, represent and write numbers to 120.

Caring Connections

The Caring Connections Calendar features activities that strengthen relationships by practicing kindness, being grateful and spending quality time with those we love. Each activity builds connection while encouraging kind acts, helpfulness and positivity. Like connection, being kind and helpful to others is a biological imperative that is required for optimal brain development. It also releases feel-good chemicals and hormones, something we could all benefit from right now. Similarly, focusing on the positive creates more positivity. Practicing gratitude offers significant benefits for our mental and physical health, including enhanced empathy, better sleep and improved self-esteem. Attendance Matters

Every day that your child attends school is another opportunity to learn something new! Our Primary attendance goal is to have 98 percent of our students attend school every day. Thank you for all that you do to support your child’s learning here at the Pleasanton Primary!

Amazing Attendance Monday

When your child attends school Monday through Friday with no absences, he/she earns a celebration on the Monday of the following week. We refer to this as Amazing Attendance Mondays.
