Happy Friday Panther families! It has been another fantastic week here in the middle school.

Wednesday was our first day of state testing. I want to thank our students, staff, and parents for making it an absolute success! Our students were here, had charged Chromebooks, and tried their best on the test.

Next Wednesday, April 24th, our students will have their second round of M-STEP testing. Once again we ask that students get a good night's rest, eat breakfast, come to school, charge their Chromebook, and bring it and their Chromebook charger to school.

In our sports update, we will be hosting our first middle school track meet on Thursday, April 25th beginning at 4:30 pm. Currently this is the only home track meet our middle school will be hosting, so please come support our Panther Track team!

As we move towards the end of the year, we are getting closer to our 6th, 7th, and 8th grade field trips. It is important that students continue to attend school, make good choices, and pass their classes. These three things are part of the field trip eligibility criteria. A reminder about unexcused vs excused absences is that calling your child in is not an excused absence. Students must turn in documentation (a doctor's note) to the school office for the absence to be marked as an excused absence. If you have questions about your child's field trip eligibility, please reach out to one of their teachers or the middle school office.

As always, I would thank our staff, students, families, and community for all of their support. Each week there are so many people who go above and beyond to help our district succeed. It is this support that makes me proud to be a Panther!
