On Tuesday, March 5, Eastern High School will host a mandatory College Credit Plus meeting for students and parents interested in taking CCP courses in the 2024-2025 school year. This meeting is required for participation in the CCP program. Representatives from multiple local universities will be in attendance to discuss requirements and answer questions. The meeting will begin at 6:00 p.m. in the platform room.

On Wednesday, March 6, Eastern Middle School will host its first annual STEAM Night! Multiple exhibits, demonstrations, and activities from local business and organizations in the STEAM field will be on hand. All middle school students (grades 6-8) and their families are invited to attend.

The annual Eagle Extravaganza will be held on March 16, 2024! The event is a fundraiser for the Eastern Middle/High School PBIS program which provides rewards and incentives for students. For more information about the event, click the following link:

Earlier this month, Eastern Middle School added an additional tutor to help provide remediation for students. We are happy to welcome Marsha Mathews to our staff! Marsha will work with students in individual and small group settings to provide remedial support.

Eastern High School NHS president, Hannah Felts, recently created a positivity board for students to share positive and encouraging messages. You can view the messages on the bulletin board by the high school gymnasium.

Each year, multiple schools that receive federal funding are selected to take the national NAEP assessment. Earlier this year, Eastern High School 12th grade students were selected to participate and the assessment was completed on February 29.

On March 1, the EHS history club visited the Wright Patterson National Air Force Museum. The trip included a tour of the Air Force One jet that served the Kennedy through Clinton administrations.

On February 27, 11th grade students took the school-proctored ACT exam. The ACT will be administered to 11th grade CTC students on March 12.

On February 27, 8th grade students participated in a personal finance and poverty simulation conducted by Tammy Jones and the OSU South Center staff.

On February 28, middle school LEAD students visited COSI in Columbus, Ohio. Additionally, qualifying middle school students attended the quarterly PBIS rewards trip for good grades, behavior, and attendance on March 1.

Students in the Soaring Eagle Club are recognized by staff members for going above and beyond to improve the culture of Eastern Middle School! Students receive rewards and are recognized each day during morning announcements.

Last week's Friday Focus was EHS student, Riley Durham! Riley was recognized for her outstanding effort and attitude in class. Great job!

The Friday Focus for 2/23 was 8th grade students, Jaidyn Cooper and Reece Richmond! Jaidyn and Reece were recognized for helping clean up the pep section after boys basketball games this year. Great job!
