Good Evening Yowell Families,
This is Mrs. Fiscus with your weekly update.
Oh.My.Goodness.... we only have 20 days of school left! Within these 20 days there is so much to finish and celebrate.
This Wednesday, we will welcome our incoming kindergarten families from 5-6pm. There will be a meeting in the cafeteria for parents and story time with activities with the soon-to-be students! We look forward to meeting our newest Stallions on Wednesday.
We will host the Yowell Art Show this Thursday evening from 5-7pm. Each of our 706 students will have their own piece of artwork on display. Please come out and see the fantastic artwork that our students have completed under the direction of our art teacher Mrs. Korona.
Starting on Wednesday our SOL testing season will begin. 4th & 5th grade students will take the reading SOL test on Wednesday and 3rd grade on Thursday. We will be testing first thing in the morning. Please try to have your child to school on time for testing and refrain from an early dismissal before lunch.
Mrs. Dugger is working on the end-of-year 5th grade slideshow and needs baby/toddler picture of each of our 5th graders. You can either send the picture in or email it to kdugger@ccpsweb.org. If you haven't sent your picture, please send it in as soon as possible.
If your child is absent please inform the school. of the absence so it can be appropriately entered into PowerSchool. Since we've returned from spring break we are receiving less calls and emails. Letting us know of the absence benefits you and your child.

Art Show Set up Volunteer Request!
Mrs. Korona is looking for a few volunteers to help with set up the day of the art show. Duties will include setting up the art panels/walls and hanging artwork. If you are available to volunteer your time, please sign up for a time slot/slots here! Thank you in advance!

Transportation Information
In an effort to assist schools and parents with current information about bus changes, transportation has added a new item on their website called: Transportation - Morning Update. The direct link can be found here.
We will be posting departure times for buses each day to assist parents with receiving their child from the bus stop. Please check this document each afternoon.
