News for You:
- March is Reading Month: This year's theme is "Reading is Out of This World!" You will receive a calendar, reading log, and other pertinent information. Our kick-off assembly will be on Friday, March 1st (packet info is below).
- Family Reading Night: This will be on Thursday, March 14th. There will be a special surprise announcement for the students during the dinner. Please RSVP online or send back the RSVP to your child's teacher. Thanks!
- End of the day changes: Please refrain from contacting your child's teacher through Seesaw about any end of the day changes for your child. Please get in touch with the elementary office about these changes. New! The elementary office now has a Seesaw page. You can search Kayla Robbins in Seesaw if you want to send a message for the office to see. Thanks!
- Bus students-Please let your child's teacher or the office know if your student is getting picked up instead of riding the bus. This can be a note to the teacher or phone call to the office. Thanks!
- Sick season: It's that time of the year when sickness occurs often. To combat the spread of any illnesses, please remember that to return to school, your student must be fever, vomit, and diarrhea-free for 24 hours.
- Popcorn Fridays: Parent/Guardians, popcorn Fridays are back! Students will get a bag of popcorn one Friday of the month (usually the last Friday). We are asking students to bring in $.25 per month to help offset the cost of the popcorn. This is not mandatory, and we thank you for your help! *Our next Popcorn Friday will be on Friday, March 22nd!
- Family Engagement Nights: The dates for our family engagement nights/events are below. More information will come out leading up to the event. Thank you!

- Classroom Attendance Incentives: Classrooms with 90% or higher attendance for February will receive a Ranger logo magnet. When a classroom receives ten magnets, they will receive a blow pop and bragging rights! Below are the list of classrooms who have received ten days of school of over 90% of the students present for the month of February!

- 2024-2025 Kindergarten Enrollment:
- Next month, we will start taking appointments for our Kindergarten Roundup, which will take place in August 2024! Your child must turn five before September 1, or you can sign a waiver if they turn five after September 1 and before December 1. Thanks!
Students must turn in their reading logs each Monday and Friday, March 22nd, to be entered in weekly reading month prizes and during the closing assembly. Each class will tally up their total minutes and have a chance to win a pizza party!!

Manton Parent Teacher Organization
If you want to be a part of the PTO, we meet approximately once a month for about an hour. We aim for parents and teachers to collaborate to supplement and enrich your student's educational experience! Our next meeting will be on March 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the elementary staff lounge. Thanks!
Attendance Incentives!
- Most Improved Attendance
- Students who were absent a lot at the beginning of the year and show improved attendance by the end of the year will receive an award.
- 95% or higher Award
- Students who were present 95% or higher will receive an attendance award at the end of the year.
- Classroom goals
- We aim to have a 90% or higher attendance rate in each classroom for ten days in January. Classrooms will receive an incentive for achieving this!
