Pancakes for the Park & Christmas Bazaar
Planning for the 5th Annual Pancakes for the Park & Christmas Bazaar to be held on Saturday, December 2nd, is underway! This is possibly the biggest student volunteer event at Rockwall-Heath High School.
For those of you who are new to the Hawk Family, the Samantha Knostman Memorial Fund is a 501c organization with the goal to help others through scholarships and public parks. Ann Knostman was the RHHS Instructional Technology Coach from 2010-2016. Ann and Doug Knostman's daughter, Sammy, is a little girl who always brought smiles to everyone through the fun outlook she had in life. While her life may have been short, she lived her life big and brought joy everywhere she went. To help continue her journey of bringing smiles to others, the Memorial Fund built a playground in Heath, TX. Additionally, it provided eight $1,000 scholarships to graduating Rockwall ISD Seniors in 2015, eleven $1,000 scholarships to graduating Rockwall ISD Seniors in 2016, and eight $500 scholarships to graduating Rockwall ISD Seniors in 2017. The Pancakes for the Park and Christmas Bazaar is a great way for your clubs and organizations to support this cause and is the main source of fundraising for the scholarships.
BAZAAR INFO: If you're interested in being one our bazaar vendors this year, please see the letter from the Knostmans, found at: https://goo.gl/zTsSzV, and fill out the form found at: https://goo.gl/RLdcTc. Our Bazaar Coordinator this year is Jennifer Munson, Library Media Specialist at Cain M.S., one of our feeder schools. Please contact her at jennifer.munson@rockwallisd.org for questions.
