Traver Talk
As we continue our progress through the school year, we want to remind everyone of the importance of preparedness for our high school students. Being prepared for the school day not only sets students up for success but also helps them develop crucial habits that will benefit them throughout their academic and professional lives.
While high schoolers may feel they have outgrown the need for a backpack check before leaving for school, many still require support in establishing these good habits. We encourage all students to ensure that their Chromebooks are charged, and they have their calculators, books, and assignments ready before heading to school. These small but essential steps can make a significant difference in a student's learning experience.
In the chart to the right, you will find the attendance data for the past two weeks since we returned from spring break, including absences and tardies. This chart shows the total hours that students per grade were tardy or absent. We urge you to have conversations with your students about the importance of punctuality and preparedness.
Thank you for your continued support. Together, we can empower our high schoolers to develop the habits and mindset needed for success.
Mrs. Rachel Traver, Assistant Principal

Principal's Points
Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this newsletter finds you well. As we move further into the spring semester, I want to take a moment to emphasize the importance of parental involvement in your child's education. Research consistently shows that students perform better in school when parents are actively engaged in their learning. Your support and involvement make a significant difference in your child's academic success and overall well-being. Please continue to stay informed about your child's progress, communicate with teachers, and participate in school activities and events.
Parents are also asked to get involved in our High School PTO and the Athletic Boosters. The focus for both groups is to provide financial assistance to our students, and teams, when needs arise. Parent participation in our concession stand is so important to our athletic program and your support is needed, more than ever. Please reach out to the Main Office for more information, or speak to your athlete’s coaches to see how you could help.
As we approach the middle of the semester, I encourage you to check your student's grade standing regularly. Monitoring grades and progress reports is an important way to stay informed about your child's academic performance. If you have any questions or concerns about your student's grades, please don't hesitate to reach out to their teachers or our counseling department for support.
