News from the Nest

Hello Elm Street School Families and Friends,

We had a fantastic first week back from the break here at The Nest! Our Eagles returned to the building with the first stage of our lobby refresh project complete - new paint on the walls and bench. Our next phase includes adding a display case, digital display board, and updated furniture to transform our lobby to a more welcoming space where student work and accomplishments can be celebrated and communicated with families and visitors to our school. Our lobby redesign would not have been possible without the support of PAC and all the generous donations from whether that is by contributing to the Elm 180 appeal, donating at fundraising events, or volunteering time at PAC events. THANK YOU to all our families who volunteer and contribute to our PAC and community.

The 7 week stretch between February and April breaks is where we see some of the greatest growth in students as they gain momentum and build upon the strong foundations and skills built during the beginning half of the school year. During this uninterrupted stretch of connection and engagement our students are stretching themselves and reaching for academic and social emotional goals as they start to turn their attention towards preparing for the next grade level. Our team here at The Nest is ready and looking forward to supporting all our Eagles in the next few weeks of joy, learning, and growth.
