Course Registration 2025-2026

The PowerSchool portal for registration is now open. Your child's guidance counselor will be meeting with them in the coming weeks to go over the registration process. Step by step instructions on how to complete the registration process are also detailed below.

We encourage all of our students and parents to review the program of studies and graduation requirements needed when selecting their courses. Please make sure to select courses that not only interest you but also help you to fulfill your graduation requirements.

The Program of Studies, included below, can be a valuable resource for both students and parents when selecting your courses for next year. Please make sure to refer to it with any questions you may have regarding courses, graduation requirements, NCAA approved courses, etc. You can also reach out to your child's guidance counselor if you have any questions regarding the course registration process.

A graduate of the Bloomfield Public Schools must have earned the minimum number of credits and met the established credit distribution requirement. In accordance with law 10-233a, students must also meet additional performance standards. Please make sure to refer to your graduation requirements in the Program of Studies, when registering for courses.

Graduation requirements include the number of credits in addition to specific course work passed successfully in grades 9 through 12. To be considered full-time students, all students must carry a minimum of 5.5 credits.

Are you an athlete? Do you hope to compete at the Division I or II level in college? If so, it is very important that you register for courses that are NCAA approved. Courses that are NCAA approved, are the only ones that will count towards your core GPA, which is necessary to compete at the next level. All courses in the Program of Studies now have listed in bold below the course, whether or not they are NCAA Approved. A full list of NCAA approved courses can also be found in the Program of Studies.
