State testing will begin on Wednesday, April 17. - Mr. Day

On March 19, the district held a staff in-service. Staff completed various required training modules, annual testing certification, and worked on requirements for gifted instruction.

The EHS yearbook club is currently taking orders for the 2023-2024 yearbook. Orders will be accepted until May 6. Order forms were sent home with students and can be picked up in the middle/high school office.

Mr. Legg’s conservation science students recently completed ODNR trapper education and certification. Congratulations!

The annual Eagle Extravaganza was held on March 16, 2024! The event raised over $7,800 for the Eastern Middle/High School PBIS program which provides rewards and incentives for students. Thank you to all of our community supporters who purchased tickets or donated prizes for the event, and to the PBIS team for organizing a wonderful evening!

This year's spring drama club production was the Disney musical, The Lion King. Congratulations to Mrs. Jayne and the high school drama club on an outstanding performance at this year’s spring production of The Lion King!

On March 14, Mr. Legg’s conservation science students and science club members attended the annual trout stocking event at Scioto Trail State Park and also participated in the trout derby.

On Wednesday, March 6, Eastern Middle School hosted its first annual STEAM Night! The event included interactive exhibits, demonstrations, and activities from local business and organizations in the STEAM field. Thanks so much to the middle school staff and all the community members who helped organize a great evening of fun and learning!

The National Honor Society and the Eastern Art Club have been creating hallway signs supporting the various extracurricular groups in the building. Signs will be hung in both the high school and middle school hallways.

Students in the Soaring Eagle Club are recognized by staff members for going above and beyond to improve the culture of Eastern Middle School! Students receive rewards and are recognized each day during morning announcements.

Last week's Friday Focus was EHS student, Tristan Wicker! Tristan was recognized for helping other students in class. Great job!

The March 29 Friday Focus was EHS students, Ashlee Lykins, Sophia Casada, and Storm Jennings! These students were recognized for volunteering to help clean up after class. Great job!

The Friday Focus for 3/22 was high school students, Michael VanMeter and Brynna Detty! Both students were recognized for helping others in need. Great job!

The Friday Focus for 3/15 was high school student, Miles Conley! Miles was recognized for helping other students in class. Great job!

The Friday Focus for 3/8 was middle school students, McKenzie Gill and Hayden Withrow, and high school students, Jason Howell, Tristan Wicker, and Faith Bliss! These students were recognized for helping staff members or outstanding effort in the classroom. Great job!
