RES Weekly Buzz

March. In Like a Lion, Out Like a Lamb! We are looking forward to sunshine and brighter days! As we hope for warmer weather, we want to keep our students focused on continuing to strive to do their best. We greatly appreciate your efforts at home to ensure this carries over into their school day.
Our 5th graders have been writing compliments to one another, and they are filling up the hallway! Seeing these great students recognize others for their hard work, kindness, and much more has been excellent. They are setting great examples for our younger friends of being respectful and good citizens; we are very proud of them!
Our students and staff have enjoyed Spirit Fridays throughout March, and we have loved seeing many people participate. Though our last one for March was today, be on the lookout for a few scattered throughout the spring! We take school seriously, but we also like to have a little fun here at RES!
Happy weekend.

- Have your child bring a reusable water bottle to keep at their desk
- Make sure your child gets enough sleep the night before a test.
- Make sure your child eats breakfast the morning of the test. Breakfast is available here at RES.
- Ensure that your child arrives to school on time.
- Encourage your child to take their time and put in their best effort.
- Encourage your child to always check their work.
- Talk about the test in a positive way.
- Ensure your child that their teacher has provided them with excellent strategies to help them be as successful as they can be.

Making Birds in the First Grade
Rockport PTO
Notes from Nurse Wagner
🌺Spring is right around the corner which means birds singing, flowers blooming... and seasonal allergies. If your child has symptoms of seasonal allergies (sneezing, runny nose, congestion, itchy eyes, etc.), please make sure to give them an over-the-counter treatment (as advised by your pediatrician) before sending them to school. This is important as students are usually outside more often in the Spring.
PLEASE remember to send a water bottle with your child to school every single day!
For parents of younger students, please take time to review the proper steps to toileting and hand hygiene with your child.
If your child has any symptoms of COVID or a known exposure to someone with COVID, please do a rapid COVID test at home. Free COVID test kits are available from the Town of Rockport.
For any questions or to report your child's illness, please call the RES health office at 978-546-1223 or email rwagner@rpk12.org .
