GAME: Banana Blast
Skills to explore while you have fun: SOCIAL: taking turns, give and take, EMOTIONAL: dealing with a range of emotions and managing a surprising monkey jump (some kids will need to watch it first), ACADEMIC: math vocabulary like counting, "less" and "more"; FINE MOTOR: using the right strength to push and pull the bananas, catch the jumping monkey in the air. Art Project of the Month
Art with Found Objects - Explore, Plan, and Create!
In this video you will see a variety of fabulous skills for your child to work on: a variety of fine motor skills, cognitive planning, and executing according to a plan or simply exploring. Following a model and taking academic risks build the confidence of the young learner. Encourage your child to make his/her own unique pattern and most importantly, enjoy the process!
Book of the Month
Here is a great example for skills we gain while listening to a story: use of imagination, increasing vocabulary, focus and attention, the art of asking questions, responding, predicting, identifying a pattern, developing conversation skills, developing empathy and the emotional vocabulary
Inclusion
Wheels: A Gumdrop
Just a reminder to make sure that each and every child gets the opportunity to play.
