Morris Elementary School
Week of April 22nd
Hello Parents and Guardians,
I hope you had a fantastic spring break filled with rest, relaxation, and memorable moments. Over the weekend, I had the pleasure of attending the performance of Disney's Frozen Jr. at the Colonial Theatre. It was a delight to see students from both Morris and LMMHS representing the Lenox Public School system on stage. Their performances were truly impressive. Congratulations to all the actors, including Kessa Lesser, Aliyah Sohn, Lucy, and Sammi Simonelli, who are pictured to the right.
As we return to school, we have some important updates and events to share with you.
PTO Meeting: Mark your calendars for our upcoming PTO meeting on Tuesday, April 23rd, at 6:30 p.m. We'll be discussing and planning exciting end-of-year activities. Your participation and input are invaluable, so we hope to see you there!
Relocation Drill: This Thursday, we will be conducting a relocation drill shortly after 9:00 a.m. This drill is an essential part of our safety procedures, ensuring that our students and staff are prepared for any emergency situation. We appreciate your cooperation and understanding during this important practice.
Bus Driver Appreciation Day and Administrative Assistants Day: On April 23rd, we celebrate Bus Driver Appreciation Day, and on April 24th, we recognize Administrative Assistants Day. These individuals play crucial roles in our school community, going above and beyond to ensure the smooth operation of our school. Let's take this opportunity to show our gratitude and appreciation for their dedication and hard work.
Amy Freeman, my administrative assistant, consistently goes above and beyond to assist parents, students, and staff. Her role involves juggling numerous tasks daily to ensure the school runs smoothly. Many families rely on her for guidance and support, and she always ensures their questions and concerns are addressed promptly with a smile. I feel fortunate to have such a remarkable administrative assistant. Please join me in recognizing her on Wednesday, April 24th.
Thank you for your continued support, and we look forward to a successful end to the school year!

Morris Elementary School is collecting solar eclipse glasses to send to South America so that students in Latin America can view the eclipse. If families still have their eclipse glasses and are willing to donate them, please send them into school with your child by Monday, May 6th. Thank you!
