Husky Howler 3/1/24 (Guardians)
We are the PACK!
Smiley Thoughts
PACK Guardians,
We had a great week at Hubbard despite the dreaded benchmark testing! Our teachers will be breaking down the data and developing plans to help lift students before the actual STAAR test. We will communicate some intervention plans that may include after school tutorials and some awesome Saturday activities too. Snacks and pizza usually get the kids excited to stay! We hope you have a great week. After next week, TAG YOU'RE IT!
***REPEATS***
Tyler ISD Transfers - Is your child at Hubbard on a transfer? You MUST fill out a transfer request form even if they have previously been accepted. The transfer window opens on February 1st and this is the official Tyler ISD Transfer Request form. We will have them printed in the front office.
Feb 1- First day to apply for transfers
March 1- Last day to submit transfer request form. All transfer requests must be submitted by March 1st to be considered.
April 1- Notification of transfer approval/denial
6th grade guardians! - Nurse Olivares would like me to communicate that some of you will be receiving a letter regarding immunization requirements for the 24-25 school year. Please provide her proof of immunization record, a written medical exemption from your physician that provides the medical reason, or complete the original Exemption Affidavit letter from DSHS (submitting is the first step, you must receive and affidavit and this can take up to six weeks). This will help prevent any delays in your student starting the school year in August. Check with your pediatrician to make sure your students' shot records are up to date. Your student may already have up to date immunizations for Tdap and MCV (required for all incoming 7th graders), but Nurse Olivares needs a copy. Documents can be dropped off at the front office of Hubbard or sent directly to eleanor.olivares@tylerisd.org. Thank you!
Yearbooks! - Your student should have already had a yearbook order form come through, BUT we know middle schoolers lose things. You can order ONLINE but must use the unique Hubbard ID code of 1210324.
