Test Coordinator Update

• Answer document scan count information for the spring 2019 STAAR administrations will be available for viewing in the STAAR Assessment Management System in the Orders > ADPL Scans tab

• April 2019 STAAR English I and English II: May 22, 2019
  April 2019 STAAR grades 4 and 7 writing: May 24, 2019
  May 2019 STAAR Algebra I, Biology, and U.S. History: May 22, 2019
  May 2019 STAAR grades 5 and 8 mathematics and reading retest: May 28, 2019
  May 2019 STAAR grades 3–8: May 31, 2019
  May 2019 STAAR Algebra II and English III: June 3, 2019

• The ADPL Scans page allows authorized users to view original campus ADPL submission information and compare the entered counts to actual counts of answer documents received and scanned for scoring by ETS. In the event of a discrepancy, ETS will attempt to contact district testing coordinators to reconcile any variances identified.

• Reports will be posted to the Assessment Management System for the spring STAAR Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History administrations on May 29 and for the STAAR grades 3–8 administrations on June 11. Printed copies of STAAR Report Cards and Confidential Student Labels for these administrations will be shipped to districts. Essay images for the April 2019 STAAR English I and English II administrations and the April 2019 STAAR grades 4 and 7 writing administration will be posted in the Assessment Management System on June 3 and June 11, respectively.
  

Retesters for the June 2019 administrations are automatically registered to test in the same mode they tested for the previous administration if they have not met the standard in one or more subjects. Districts will have the opportunity to add or update student registrations during the registration windows. Precoded answer documents will be produced only for students registered to test on paper by the close of the precode window. The STAAR Retester File will be available in the Assessment Management System on the dates noted below.

STAAR grades 5 and 8 mathematics and reading retest: June 3, 2019

• Student registration, including for precoded answer documents, braille materials, and out-of-district (OOD) and out-of-school (OOS) testing, for the June 2019 STAAR administrations will be available through the Assessment Management System. OOD and OOS examinees should register online at https://texastests.com/forms/student-reg-eoc.

• STAAR Algebra I, English I, English II, Biology, and U.S. History: May 28–29, 2019
  STAAR grades 5 and 8 mathematics and reading retest: June 3–5, 2019

Materials lists for the June 2019 STAAR administrations will be available in the Assessment Management System by June 3. Districts may begin placing additional orders in the Assessment Management System on June 3. All orders must be submitted by June 19.

Combined initial orders of secure and nonsecure test materials are scheduled to arrive in districts June 10–14. Precoded answer documents will arrive in a separate shipment by June 14. The English Learner Performance Measure (EL PM) fields on the student level data files scheduled to be posted in the STAAR Assessment Management System on May 29 will be populated based on results from the preliminary Spring 2019 TELPAS data. Updates made by districts during the TELPAS data correction window will be processed and any possible changes will be reflected in the next regular monthly update in July.
