Good luck to our four Odyssey of the Mind teams who will compete in the Maine OM N’oreaster Tournament on Saturday, March 23. Our 28 fourth and fifth graders have been hard at work preparing for their performances. They will first perform for the 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade classes on Friday afternoon, then it’s on to the tournament.
If you have a rising fourth or fifth grader for the 2024-2025 school year and are interested in Odyssey, please visit the club section of the PTO website for more information. Registration will begin in September. Good luck to all our teams!

Teacher Appreciation Week
This year we are celebrating Teacher Appreciation Week with a special focus on health and wellness!
From May 6th to 10th, we will be honoring the dedicated educators who shape our future by emphasizing the importance of self-care and well-being in their lives. We're seeking ideas and donations to create a week filled with activities promoting physical, mental, and emotional wellness for our teachers. Whether it's yoga sessions, healthy cooking demonstrations, mindfulness workshops, or simply providing nutritious snacks, every contribution counts. Let's come together to ensure our educators feel valued, appreciated, and cared for during this special week and beyond.
Contact us to share your ideas or if you’d like to contribute to this meaningful cause! Contact Emily Davis & Kayla Theriault at communitybuilding@roweschoolpto.org
Spring Fest is Coming!
SpringFest is coming!
SpringFest is coming!
Mark your calendar for our annual SpringFest event on Saturday, May 18th! Meet us at Rowe School 12pm - 3pm for carnival games, the teacher raffle, bounce houses, the legendary tug of war contest and our awesome silent auction.
All Springfest activities and food will only accept tickets purchased for Springfest, no cash will be accepted. Every child who attends Springfest will receive ten free tickets at the Welcome Center when they arrive. Tickets will go on sale May 1.
We will be holding a silent auction featuring themed baskets filled with items collected by each Rowe classroom. We will begin collecting donations next month. If you are curious about your class's theme for this year click here for a sneak peek!!
The suspense leading up to the drawing of the teacher raffle winners was monumental last year! What fun and exciting prizes will our teachers have for us at this year’s SpringFest?
Explore an assortment of new toys and treats at the newly stocked Springfest Prize Tent! Exchange your tickets for your favorite items of choice.
Visit the concession stand (ticket purchases only/no cash!) for pizza, popsicles and other goodies to stay energized for all the jumping, tugging and prize winning!
Calling all Volunteers! We are hoping to keep our operations fun and seamless with the help of some Rowe alum and enthusiastic middle school and high school students. If you are a parent of a middle or high school student or know how to connect with one looking for a fun and easy way to earn some volunteer hours, direct them our way. Please contact Janna Stefanowicz - treasurer@roweschoolpto.org for more details.
There will be more information coming soon on SpringFest volunteer opportunities!
SpringFest is not possible without the generous support of our community. Become a sponsor and get your business recognized! We offer various sponsorship levels with fantastic benefits, including logo placement on our social media and promotional materials and recognition during the event. Please reach out to president@roweschoolpto.org to learn more.
We cannot wait to share this super fun Rowe School Community Day with you!
Your Donations at Work
Mr. Boardman’s chorus and the fourth grade class took a field trip to the Mariner’s Hockey Game on March 5th. The 20 or so 4th and 5th grader chorus students were honored to sing the National Anthem on the ice in front of area schools across Maine and New Hampshire. They were able to enter through a backstage door and see what it takes to prepare for a hockey game. The fourth grade class was thrilled to support their Rowe friends and spread their cheer (and voices!) throughout the arena. It was an exciting day for our students.
We were also able to purchase some new soft and cuddly birds and materials for the 1st graders' new EL Module on Birds. If you know a first grader, ask about the bird feeders or new owls stuffies or, my favorite, the hummingbird!
