Principal's Message
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
As we step into the month of March, I wanted to take a moment to reflect on the significance of this time and share some updates on our school's progress and improvement.
March is a month of transition and renewal, marked by the arrival of spring. It is a time of growth and change, both in nature and in our own lives. At Brophy School, we embrace the spirit of March by continuing to make strides in our educational journey.
Our school is dedicated to providing a supportive and inclusive environment where students can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. We are committed to fostering a love of learning, encouraging creativity and critical thinking, and instilling the values of respect, responsibility, and resilience in our students.
We are also committed to continuous improvement. We regularly assess our programs and practices, seeking feedback from our school community, and implementing changes that will enhance the learning experience for our students. We have enjoyed working in partnership with our PTO and look forward to more enriching activities this spring.
In the spirit of March, let us embrace change and growth as we work together to create an environment that fosters the success of every student. Thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in our school's journey.
Warm regards,
John

Main Office Reminders
Dismissal Change Requests
If caregivers need to change pick-up plans for dismissal, please be sure to notify both your child's classroom teacher AND the main office. Doing both will make sure that your child will receive the message along with our teachers, and dismissal staff. Teachers may not check emails during the school day and we would not want to miss an important message about a dismissal change. We have made some errors this year and we have also not received change requests. Let's continue to work together so we can get all changes correct for dismissal each time.
Brophy School Selected as a "No Place For Hate School".
Hello Brophy Caregivers and Families! We are thrilled to share that Brophy School has been registered as a No Place For Hate Elementary School. The NPFH Program is a state and national program run through the Anti-Defamation League. Over 1800 schools are working together to build a learning community of inclusivity, respect, and equity that challenges bias. If you'd like to learn more about this program please click here. If you'd like to join the Brophy School No Place For Hate Team please add your name to this sign up sheet and the Brophy School Equity Champion, Kim Tremlett, will email you to find convenient times and dates to meet. Please also provide the email address that you wish to be contacted next to your name in the spreadsheet. Thank you for your support!
MCAS Corner
We will use this spot in our newsletter for updated MCAS information over the next few months. It will include our test schedule reminders as well as resources for caregivers. We will also use our mass notification system as well, when appropriate. It is a busy spring and we want to keep you informed and supported.
MCAS PARENT/CAREGIVER RESOURCES
Composting Begins on March 15 in Grade 4
Our Grade 4 Composting Team has been working very hard to successfully implement a composting program for Grade 4. Our Team has presented to each grade 4 classroom and we are now ready to kick off the program. We have partnered with the Black Earth Composting who will be providing their bins at a small cost for the remainder of the school year. Students will be asked to scrape compostable scraps into our compost bin at each lunch and Black Erath will pick up from our school 1x a week. We are excited to get this program off the ground and are very thankful to grade 4 students Aria M. and Rosalina H. for spearheading this project with their classmates, teachers, and our school administration.
Elementary iNight - March 6, 2024
The Framingham community is invited to the celebration of grade 4-5 Sage students’ independent investigation projects.
UPDATE: The time of this event has been updated! It is now taking place from 6pm - 7:30pm on Wednesday, March 6th (NOT 5pm - 7pm as originally advertised). It still takes place at Walsh Middle School
We are excited for you to see what creative topics and solutions the students have explored this year. Students select a topic of interest then work to solve a problem, produce something creative, or facilitate self growth. iNight is the showcase for their products and solutions.
