Keeping a Pulse on Student Life at WMHS! - 3/8/2024
Students Take a Trip to Egypt
Students in Mrs. Gregory's class took a virtual journey to Egypt this week! They used the VR (Virtual Reality) headsets to explore places such as the Sahara Desert. They were even able to "sail" along the Nile River!
Safety First!
Students in Mr. Cunningham's Physical Science class completed a fun challenge this week! Students built cars to apply and understand Newton's Laws of Motion. They had to build their cars in a way that ensured the egg inside of them did not crack during a downhill crash into bricks.

WHS Students Inducted Into National Technical Honor Society
On Thursday, March 7, four of our students who attend Grant Career Center were inducted into the National Technical Honor Society. Congratulations to Hana Riggs, Shanoah Pierce, Lydia Rudy, and Anabelle Terrell!
Steered Straight is coming to WMHS
All students in Grades 6-12 will attend a presentation during the school from Steered Straight to learn more about the harmful effects of drugs and vaping. You can learn more about the program by visiting their website.
Additionally, each high school student will receive a copy of Victoria's Voice. Click here for more information about this book. Due to the nature of this book (surrounding drug use, sensitive topics, and strong language), students must have parent/guardian consent to receive a copy. Please click here to fill out the Google Form so that your students can receive a copy of this powerful book.
Middle School Student Council is Running a Collection for Animal Supplies
The WMS Student Council is running a collection for animal supplies for a local animal shelter in Clermont County. We are asking students to bring in items that can be donated to the League for Animal Welfare in Batavia. We have reached out to find out what they are most in need of for donations (see picture). The collection will run from March 11 - 20. The FLEX group that brings in the most donations will win donuts!

From the fans to the cheerleaders, and the student section to the Pep Band, you all showed up in strong numbers to cheer our boys on. We appreciate your support, and are thankful for students who continue to support each other!
Winter Sports have ended and we are moving on to Spring! If you are a Spring Athlete, please make sure that your Final Forms are filled out and fees have been paid.
