April 12th

Who's our Mascot?
We had the opportunity to meet some of students in the middle of April, and it's now time to reveal our mascot! In the next few weeks, we know families will be busy ending school and planning for summer, but we'd love to see you on May 2nd. This will be an opportunity to purchase school supplies, t-shirts, and a library book as an inaugral family, meet Hisle staff, AND learn who the mascot will be! We hope to see you there!
Family Engagement and PTA/PTO
We're excited to begin talking about the formation of a family group to support Hisle students and staff! Our first decision will be "would we prefer to be a PTA or a PTO?" We'll review the charactersistics of each type of group and begin setting up our board and discussing volunteer opportunities! We hope to see you there! IF you are interested in attending OR volunteering during the school year, please complete this RSVP/Volunteer form!
Staffing News
Each week, we hope to introduce our grade level teams to you! Our goal is to give you a little bit of information so you can begin talking with your child about the grade level teachers! As always, please know that we are still doing a bit of hiring! Our PreK will be growing by at least three teachers in the next few weeks since we were given approval to have PreK for three year olds! It's so exciting!

I was an instructional assistant in a General Science lab when I attended Texas State University, and I mentored as a camp guide at Magellan International School. I was also a resident in a kindergarten class in Lockhart, Texas for the 2023-2024 school year, and I loved every minute of it! I graduated as a proud bobcat, and I love spending my free time going to the river, watching movies, and taking road trips! I cannot wait for this upcoming school year at Hisle to begin!
