A Note from Mrs. Pitts
Dear RES Families,
We wanted to provide you with the updated CDC guidelines for COVID-19.
From the CDC...
The recommendations suggest returning to normal activities when, for at least 24 hours, symptoms are improving overall, and if a fever was present, it has been gone without use of a fever-reducing medication.
Once people resume normal activities, they are encouraged to take additional prevention strategies for the next 5 days to curb disease spread, such as taking more steps for cleaner air, enhancing hygiene practices, wearing a well-fitting mask, keeping a distance from others, and/or getting tested for respiratory viruses. Enhanced precautions are especially important to protect those most at risk for severe illness, including those over 65 and people with weakened immune systems. CDC’s updated guidance reflects how the circumstances around COVID-19 in particular have changed. While it remains a threat, today it is far less likely to cause severe illness because of widespread immunity and improved tools to prevent and treat the disease. Importantly, states and countries that have already adjusted recommended isolation times have not seen increased hospitalizations or deaths related to COVID-19.
With MUCH respect and appreciation,
Michelle
Warmly,
Michelle Pitts

Ocean Animal Projects
Students in grade 2 researched an ocean animal and were able to show their learning in a variety of ways. Technology was used to show pictures and videos with student recording their voices and there were beautiful handmade habitats that any ocean animal would love to live in! The children were so confident in their knowledge and had delved deep into the research process.
Testing is over...for now!
We want to thank our fourth graders especially who have not only completed the fourth grade writing assessment for the state of New Hampshire but also the national testing through NAEP in the last two weeks. They are absolute rock stars in our eyes! Also, we want to thank the third graders who also took the state writing assessment. We appreciate you all and are proud of you!

Lunch with Students
We do allow one family member at a time to have lunch with their child(ren) but this is very optional and we don't want families to feel pressured to attend.
- Email resoffice@sau50.org if you would like to attend with the date/time (starting October 1). It is important to anticipate who will be in the building. We love these opportunities for students and their family members but we will always put safety first.
- We do have a focus during this time...eating for energy and brain power!
- Family members must meet the child in the cafeteria and leave from the cafeteria.
- Lunch times are:
Kindergarten-11:45-12:10
First Grade-12:15-12:40
Second Grade-12:15-12:40
Third Grade- 11:15-11:40
Fourth Grade-11:15-11:40
