Board of Education Recognition
We were proud to recognize our students, Brooklyn Beemiller and Alex Duran-Rayas, at the March Board of Education Meeting for their outstanding work, kindness, and leadership. We also got to recognize our staff members, Ms. Pisorn and Mr. Teal for their dedication to our school. We appreciate all four of them for making our school a positive place!
Reminders from Our PTO
Anyone can be a member of our PTO! Join a meeting or help volunteer at an event. Keep up with us on Facebook and join the mailing list to stay in the know. We are always looking for new people to get involved and help make our school the best place it can be for our students! Our PTO typically meets on the third Tuesday of each month at Jefferson Elementary at 6 PM. Free childcare is available at that time, too. Party with the Principals
In February we were focusing on the "P" and "R in our PRIDE Promise which are "Prepared" and "Respectful". Students who exemplified these characteristics were invited to a Party with the Principals at the beginning of March. We had snacks, drinks, music, and games to recognize these students.
In March we are looking for students who showed "Integrity" to be invited to our next party when we return from break. Congratulations to the following students:
- Kindergarten: Carter Scalese, Mason Larson, Ethan Niro, Vivienne Marountas, and Emmett Pate
- 1st Grade: Maximus Jackson, Andrew Long, and Avery Simmons
- 2nd Grade: Micah Gunnoe, Joey Sowers, Rylee Konrad, Ben Fink, and Levi Vasquez
- 3rd Grade: Gavin Carter, Isabel Gamiere, Seth Brown, and Morgan Thompson
- 4th Grade: Jason Gomolka, Ena Tuka, and Avery Eminger
- 5th Grade: Kamarie Kaseda, Nate Lemon, and Bree Gasiewski
Positive Student Shout-Outs
Students are nominated by our staff members for showing PRIDE and kindness. Keep up the great work!
If you believe your child is experiencing challenges in terms of their mental well-being, it is important to reach out to your principal. To meet your child’s needs, it’s essential to collaborate with the principal and school personnel to explore resources and services available at school. In addition to Crossroads Counselors, the District also has family liaisons and guidance counselors who can provide needed interventions and support.
Crossroads Survey
Please complete this survey if your child has participated in Crossroads programming during the 2023-24 school year. Your feedback is invaluable in helping us understand the effectiveness of our mental health programs and identify areas for improvement. By participating in this survey, you contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the support services we provide to our students. Thank you!
Attendance Matters
Please make every attempt to get your child to school on time as we are required to monitor students’ hours absent, due to House Bill 410. It is important for every student in Ohio to attend school every day. Missing too much school has long-term, negative effects on students, such as lower achievement and graduation rates. It is extremely important to always call our attendance line to let us know when they will be out. Providing a doctor's note when applicable is helpful as well. When students hit certain benchmarks of hours of school missed, you will receive a letter notifying you of this. Certain benchmarks require meetings and/or intervention plans to take place. The highest of benchmarks could require further actions and local resources to be involved. Click HERE for a link to more information regarding House Bill 410.
