The PGJH Pulse (Parent Edition)

Parents, we will have our first standardized test of the 2023-24 school year, the ATLAS Summative Writing Exam, and it is scheduled for this Wednesday, March 13th, from 8:15 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. (roughly). This is a new exam for us this year and it might take longer than listed (the test is not timed) so we might extend test taking if needed. Please limit checkouts of your student(s) if possible on this morning.

A FEW IMPORTANT POINTS

• Please make sure your student is present and ON TIME to school on this day
• Help remind your student to have their Chromebook and make sure it is CHARGED
• Help ensure your student gets a good night of rest and a nutritious breakfast (at home or here at school)
• Encourage them to do their best! They got this!
• Make-ups for any absent students will be on Thursday and Friday of this week

Spring Break is next week, March 18-22! Enjoy and we'll see students back on campus on Monday, March 25th!

• Tuesday, April 2 - Eclipse Night Event @ PGJH (5:00-6:30)

• Wednesday, May 8 - ATLAS Math Assessment (District Wide)
• Thursday, May 9 - ATLAS Science Assessment (District Wide)

This could be a daily celebration, but we just want to recognize the work ethic and amazing job Mr. Steve Foley is doing keeping our facilities clean and helping Mrs. Darlene out!

I just wanted to share this picture of Mr. Steve to show the kind of pride and work ethic he displays, even when people aren't around. This was from footage on one of our security monitors and it shows Mr. Steve on his hands and knees scraping gosh-knows-what off our floors after school a few weeks ago. I witnessed this and immediately felt lazy, embarrassed, and ashamed at how little I had done that day in particular, but more than that, I was so proud to have him as one of our own! Thanks for all you do for us, Mr. Steve! You're THE MAN! 👊
