Although STAAR testing is complete for the year, we still have 5 weeks of school left. There is still lots of learning to be done as we head into end-of-year assessments. Please be sure your child doesn't miss out!

In the weeks after school’s spring break and the Easter and fiesta holidays, drops in attendance are common. Remember that coming to school on time every day is very important. Also, please know that allergies are not a reason to stay home from school. You can call and talk to our nurse who is prepared to help students with chronic illnesses like asthma. We still have lots of learning to do to prepare your children for end of year assessments. These assessments will be good indicators if your child is prepared for the next school year. Please be sure your children come to school on time every day. Only students with 96% Perfect Attendance are eligible to participate in the Foam Party on May 24th!
Students in grades Kinder- 3rd will begin the MAP Fluency assessment the week of May 6. May 13- 17, students in grades Kinder- 5th with take the MAP Growth assessments. These assessments measure the growth and progress your child have made from beginning of year to end of year. We are looking forward to seeing your children do their very best! Thank you for ensuring your students are present on testing days!

Please join us for the final PTA meeting of the year. We will be voting for board members and PreK classes will be performing. We will also have special performances by HHE Folklorico Dance Team. PTA meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, May 8 at 5:30 pm. Don’t miss out on the entertainment!

During the week of May 6-10, we celebrate our Teachers and Instructional Assistants! We would like to thank them for their hard work and dedication to ALL students at HHE. Thank you for helping us honor them 😚
Friday, May 10th
You are cordially invited to attend the Mother/Son Dance on May 10 from 5:30-8:00 pm. Any female figure, over the age of 18, may accompany the HHE student. No siblings allowed. $2.00 cash donation will be accepted at the door. Concessions will be sold. Cash and card accepted. No RSVP required. We hope to see you there!
