Look out First Grade... Here We Come!

Join us for the Kindergarten Celebration on Monday, May 20th, 2024 at 2:00pm.

Please look for specific information being emailed by your students teacher.

We invite you to attend our 5th Grade Continuation Ceremony. Please join us on Tuesday, May 21st at 1:45pm to recognize this outstanding group of 5th grade students.

• The last day of school, Thursday, May 23rd, will be Med Pick Up Day - any medication not signed out that day will be disposed of. Medications cannot stay in the building over the summer. Feel free to stop by the office on the 23rd between 8am and 3pm to sign out your student's medications.

• Health Plans and Permission to Medicate forms for the 2024-2025 school year will be emailed AND going home in Thursday folders next month. Please watch for them and make appointments with your doctor to get them filled out and ready to be returned in August when school starts.

• Immunizations & Waivers: Please be sure to call your doctor and have your student's immunizations updated over the summer. Updated records or a new waiver are expected to start the school year. Waivers from the 2023-24 school year are NOT valid after 5/31/2024

Hello and welcome to the 2024 Student Design Guild! On Tuesday, May 7 the Innovation Center is hosting a STEM Night for all SVVSD families and is geared toward students in preschool - 5th grade, although any age is welcome! At this event, we will have several great events for families!

• STEM Stations for children to explore- coding, building, making, creating and more

• The Mobile Lab introducing its newest program- Music Innovation

• Student Design Guild, a place for students to share and showcase their prototypes of solutions for problems they want to solve. See this flier for details, or to participate.

• Rosie, and her new cousin, Chaco, visit from the The Butterfly Pavilion

• Activities run by IC teachers and high school students in the STEM fields of aeronautics, robotics, drones, artificial intelligence, biosciences, entrepreneurship, video production, and cybersecurity.
