Bethel the Beautiful

This week will begin our practice test for the End of Grade tests...the annual 27 week tests. We will be treating this as our dress rehearsal for the real test in May, as we use the results to see how the students are progressing and what areas teachers need to focus on in the last couple months of school. Please encourage your child to do their best, eat a good breakfast, and please have them at school on time, since the test will begin at 8:15. The schedule below shows when the reading and math tests will be taken (science for 5th grade will be 3/18. Thanks for your support next week in attendance and encouraging them to work hard and do their best! We are excited to see their progress!

2nd grade will test throughout the week. It is not as strict as a setting as our upper grades' classrooms.

Monday 3/11. 2nd Grade will be doing a small portion of the test

Tuesday 3/12- Grades 3-5 will be doing Reading

Wednesday 3/13- Grades 3-5 will be doing Math

Thursday 3/14 - Grades 3-5 will be doing Reading if they take it over 2 days

Friday 3/15- Grades 3-5 will be doing Math if they take it over 2 days

Our goal this week is for everyone to be here and to have no make-up tests!! Thanks for your help!

Bethel Middle School's PTO is excited to host a 7 on 7 flag football fundraiser for the BMS football coach Brandon Allen and family. He was recently diagnosed with kidney failure and is awaiting a kidney transplant. The fundraiser will occur Saturday, April 27th. Please come by the front office to ask for a flyer and registration form. Thanks!

Students will not have school at BES on Thursday, March 21st, but will have a Remote Learning Day. Teachers will let you know what the assignments are that day for your student. Remember that assignments must be completed in order for your child to be counted as present.

Students did a great job reading lots of books last week! We will announce our winners on Monday since our third grade classes were on a field trip on Friday. Thanks for encouraging your children to read!

It's time to order your 2023-2024 Bethel Yearbook. The final day to order is March 20th. Yearbooks are $25 and can be ordered two ways. You can place your order online or you can send $25 in your child's agenda.

For online ordering please visit strawbridge.net, click "order pictures and yearbooks" and enter code YB27670. After filling out your information you must click "select" and "add to cart" before checking out for the order to go through.

If you are not ordering online please send the exact change $25 or a check made out to "Bethel Elementary School" in a labeled envelope with your child's first and last name, grade level and teacher's name.

Personalization of yearbooks is only available online.

We will be having Spring Pictures on March 28th. Students will be taking their group/class photo, along with individual photos.

Last year for our first annual Spring Fling, we took donations of store bought cakes and candy for our cake walks and prizes. We definitely need those items again this year, but we also need items for our baskets we are auctioning off.

This year our Silent Auction will be themed baskets and in order for them to be successful, we could use your help! We will be having at least 10 baskets in our Silent Auction and need gift cards and items to fill them. Here are some of the baskets we will be trying to fill and auction off:

We are looking forward to meeting our new kindergarteners for next year! Bethel will be having their kindergarten registration on April 30th from 4-6 pm.
