Morris Elementary School
Week of March 18th
Hello Parents and Guardians,
I hope this message finds you well and enjoying the beautiful weather outside we had this past week. It's truly a delight to see the sun shining and the flowers beginning to bloom as we transition from the winter chill to the warmth of spring.
As we navigate this transition, we understand that adjusting from winter recess to spring recess expectations can be challenging for some students. With that in mind, we kindly ask you to take a moment to review our school-wide playground expectations with your child. Ensuring a safe and enjoyable recess experience for everyone is a collective effort, and your support is greatly appreciated.
I am thrilled to announce two wonderful additions to the Morris team . Please join me in welcoming Paula Carnese, our new K para professional in Ms. Munday's room. Paula brings with her a wealth of experience from her years of teaching in the Boston Public School System. Additionally, we extend a warm welcome to Debi Peters, who has joined our Special Education Department as a classroom paraprofessional. We are fortunate to have them both on board, and I know they will make valuable contributions to our school community.
This week promises to be filled with excitement and celebration. On Thursday, LMMHS students will be visiting Morris to help us commemorate Harmony Day. Harmony Day is a special occasion dedicated to celebrating diversity and fostering a sense of belonging. We encourage all students to wear orange on Thursday, as the color represents freedom of ideas and encourages mutual respect among all individuals.
And on Friday, we have a special treat in store as the Berkshire Theater Group will be presenting "Magic Tree House: Winter of the Ice Wizard." This promises to be an enchanting experience for our students, and we extend our heartfelt thank you to the Morris PTO for generously funding this assembly.
As always, thank you for your ongoing support and partnership in your child's education. If you have any questions or concerns, please don't hesitate to reach out. Here's to a fantastic week ahead!
