The Good News April 14, 2024
St. John XXIII Catholic School
Third Sunday of Easter
In today's Gospel, we see how Jesus helps the disciples understand and believe in him even more. The disciples were feeling confused and unsure about what had happened, but Jesus came to them and showed them that he was really alive!
Sometimes, just like the disciples, we might feel a little unsure or confused about things in our lives. We might wonder where God is or if we're all alone. Jesus was there for the disciples and he's always there for us, too.
Just like the disciples, we can find comfort and strength in simple things like sharing a meal with our families, giving hugs to our friends, and talking about our feelings with someone we trust.
Jesus also reminded the disciples that they had an important job to do: to tell others about him and what he did. We can be witnesses by being kind to others, helping those in need, and sharing stories about how Jesus loves us and helps us.
Even when we feel unsure or scared, we can remember that Jesus is with us, and we can help others see his love and kindness, just like the disciples did.
