Happy Las Positas Lions,

As April blossoms around us 🌷, we're gearing up for some important milestones in our academic journey. With state testing just around the corner, we're diligently preparing our students to shine bright and showcase their knowledge and skills. As we navigate through this assessment period, let's continue to support and encourage our children every step of the way.

Additionally, as we approach the end of April, we're also inching closer to the conclusion of another school year. It's incredible how swiftly time flies! Let's make the most of these remaining weeks, ensuring our students stay focused, motivated, and engaged in their learning. Together, let's finish this year strong! 📚✨

To make a difference we must be a risk-taker that uses strength and courage to face challenges.

State testing is starting on Wednesday, April 24th for all 3rd through 5th grade students. Here are some things to ensure they can perform optimally:

• Are in school everyday and on time

• Eat a good meal before test

• Stay positive

• Ipads are fully charged

• Read the instructions carefully

• Congratulations to Mrs. Rotblum, Mrs. Osborn, Ms. Peecher, and Mrs. Fuller's class for attaining "Go Lions" Daily Perfect Attendance. You have earned free recess.

Coming to school everyday is so important. We love recognizing our students who are here every day and on time. Maybe your child's class will be recognized next week?!

Just a friendly reminder to keep everything school appropriate and according to the district parent handbook. Some of the key things are:

• Bring your school supplies and come ready on time
• Don't bring toys or anything unnecessary at school
• Only School hats/beanies
• Wear tennis shoes, not crocs or anything that may get them hurt during PE/recess

Thursdays - Think College Gear

Fridays - wear Las Positas Gear/colors (blue & orange)

• 4/22 - Rock the Test Rally & Color Run - be in white shirt that can get dirty
• 4/24 - SBAC Assessment start for 3rd - 5th Grade
• 4/24 - Pawsco
• 4/25 - TK/K Readiness Event @ 5 PM in the MPR
• 5/2 - LOM
• 5/2 - K Cinco de Mayo Presentation @ 10 AM
• 5/4 - Robot Rally at the Citrus Fair

This year, all students will receive free meals.
