From Behind the Desk!
Hello Cimarron MS Families,
I hope you're looking forward to tomorrow. The weather looks to be quite pleasant entering the weekend. Sunday may change things; it's Oklahoma and we'll be prepared by having the ability to be remote Monday, if the weather goes from wet to snow and ice.
Details can be found here regarding the upcoming Swine Week Events at EMHS that begin this weekend to support Peaceful Family Oklahoma with Swine Week this year. In the week before Spring Break, Cimarron will support the common thread of Project 66.
This weekend our basketball teams are winding down the season with the Metro Middle School Athletic Conference (MMSAC) Championship Tournaments. We are playing from Mustang to Edmond. Today we had wins already by our 7th grade boys in overtime! The adventure continues tomorrow. Remember, our spring sports meeting is Monday, February 12th for 7th & 8th grades. Learn more on the athletics section of our website: https://cimarron.edmondschools.net/
Remember the EPS Bond Election: Vote on Tuesday, February 13.

As Instagram continues gaining popularity it’s becoming more and more popular among teens. How much do you know about Instagram and how it actually works? February’s Smart Social Tip of the Month focuses on Insta and shares some helpful information for parents as they monitor their student’s social media usage. It includes some potential concerns for parents and tips for how to balance screen time for students. To access this information, just click on this link: https://smartsocial.com/post/instagram?org=edmond
And, remember, if you haven’t signed up for Smart Social yet, EPS is providing this resource to all of our families for free for this school year. When you click the link, it’ll prompt you to sign up for your free EPS account. We hope you continue to find this information useful!
