Please make sure that you have a home plan as well, and practice this with your children so they are prepared.

Northfield Public Library Adds Decodable Readers in Ebook Form!
Decodable books are great books to develop fluent, strong readers! They give novice readers a chance to practice matching up letter-sound relationships and build a habit of analyzing the letters and sounds to read unfamiliar words. The Northfield Public Library has decodable books available at the library and has added decodables to their ebook collection! You can ask one of the children’s librarians for help in finding the decodable books and you can also check out the decodable books using Libby. Reading over the summer is critical to a child’s ability to not only retain information learned during the school year, but will also help your child grow in knowledge and critical thinking skills for the upcoming year. This is a great resource to help keep those readers reading!
