OGMS Weekly Update

Hello Families,

Collaboration is one of our Ockley Green Core Values and our collaboration with our families is a critical component in supporting a student's positive academic and social-emotional outcomes. You will receive Progress Reports early next week. Teachers are required to identify any student that is not passing or close to not passing their class and some take this opportunity to also communicate student progress for those that are currently meeting expected learning targets. Best practice is to provide this identification along with feedback on how students can improve. After reviewing your child's Progress Report with them, please let our teachers know if you would like additional information by emailing them directly. If you have concerns spanning multiple classes, then you can also connect with your child's counselor. Galen Dickstein serves Grade 8 and N-Z 6th Grade and Roxane Rockford serves Grade 7 and A-M Grade 6. All of our staff contact information is available on the Ockley Website.

Our Garden Clean Up is coming along. Please continue to join the Gardening Crew on every other Saturday, 10:00 AM- 1:00 PM. The next clean up day is March 9th.

If you can't make the clean up, but want to contribute, then consider donating some soil. If you're buying 10 bags of soil for your yard, consider buying 11 instead and donate on to the school. Contact Bekki Sims, bekki.jane@yahoo.com, if you need someone to pick up the donation.
