Important Reminders
Solar Eclipse Monday April 8th
While this celestial event presents valuable learning opportunities, our top priority remains the safety of our students, therefore we will not be viewing the eclipse here at Davis and Richmond schools. Teachers may opt to live stream the eclipse in their classrooms. This way, students can observe the phenomenon safely without any risk to their eyesight. Teachers may also select to incorporate eclipse-related activities into their day. Families may consider discussing the science behind solar eclipses at home and how often they occur. The eclipse will be visible to us during the dismissal times of our educational day, and guidance should be given to students to avoid looking directly at the sun (sky) during an eclipse as they will not have protective eyewear. Thank you for ensuring a safe and educational experience for our students. To view informational slides provided by D303 click here.
Class Placement Letters
You should receive a separate e-mail blast from your child’s principal next school year for details regarding class placement. If you did not receive a communication, please reach out to the principal of your child’s school next year.

District News
The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.
