Thank you to our PTO for bringing us such an enjoyable assembly! The students loved Tim Hannig and the ProKids Show! His main message was People Respecting Others, but he connected it to our Ferson Way through his comedy and magic show. Below are some pictures from both the daytime and evening shows.

Each year D303 participates in the 5Essentials Survey. We strive for as much participation as possible, as we use this data to reflect on instruction, operations, and climate. Our goal is for at least 20% of parents to complete the survey and we only have 14% participation right now. Please take a few minutes to share your anonymous feedback by completing the 5Essentials Survey.

The St. Charles Arts Council is accepting submissions for the 2024 Fox River Valley Student Art Show. Last year Ferson had a strong turnout and we hope to see lots of student work again this year! The Submission Deadline is March 8th! Please visit www.stcharlesartscouncil.org for details!

5th graders participate in the Illinois Science Assessment (ISA). This assessment has three separate tests, taken on three different days. Our 5th graders will test March 5th - March 7th.

3rd-5th graders participate in The Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR). IAR testing will start the Tuesday after spring break. A more specific schedule for IAR testing will be shared closer to the testing date.

The District 303 Board has approved boundary maps for elementary, middle, and high schools. Maps are effective with the 2024-2025 school year beginning this fall. The Board's decision completes a process that began last fall to reduce school overcrowding and help to ensure equitable learning experiences across the District. District 303 had contracted with demographer RSP & Associates to create concept maps based on Board-approved guiding principles and community feedback. Please see the parent notice from Superintendent Gordon to learn more and review the approved maps.

This year the Talent Show will be Wednesday, May 8th at 6:00 pm at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles. Sign up will start on April 5th with auditions on Thursday, April 25th. More details to follow!

The Spirit Morning schedule has been updated with dates for second semester. Please come and join us for a morning of welcoming our Ferson students to school. Each month we have a theme to welcome students into their school day. If you are interested in helping bring some excitement to school drop off from 7:40 - 8:00 am, sign up here.
