Spring Pictures will be Tuesday and Yearbook Sales end this Friday! Please see detailed information below.
Also, we have changed our Field Day times on Thursday, March 28th to accommodate for a school-wide Parent Picnic! Parent Volunteers for Field Day please use the QR code or link below to Volunteer during Field Day that morning. All parents are welcome to join our Parent Picnic from 12-1 pm which will follow Field Day. Details are listed below for the Parent Picnic, more information including sign-out procedures will be shared closer to the event.

1st graders have planted potatoes in our raised beds and are excitedly awaiting the harvest.
Enjoyed a popsicle with a special Eagle Essential Student of the Month that missed February's "Popsicles with the Principal"!

Superiendent, Dr. Merck, spoke to ALL PRO DADs Friday morning at our last ALL PRO DAD event of the school year. Thank you to Coach Thompson for leading the program this year.
READ to LEAD at Hagood Elementary
29 community members joined our "Read to Lead" day as they read a story to their assigned class. Our safety patrol and student council members were their personal tour guides as they visited their assigned classroom. We are so thankful and proud of our community partnerships! It was a wonderful day!!

SPRING PICTURES, Tuesday, March 12th
Spring Class Group and Individual Pictures are March 12th!
Our Spring Class Group and Individual Pictures are scheduled for March 12, 2024.
Class Group Pictures:
Class Group Pictures are available for purchase by pre-payment only. Order envelopes will go home in Parent/Teacher Communication folders on Monday, February 19, 2024. The cost is $10 per print, and parents may pay online or return their payment to the school by March 11, 2024, using the provided envelope. Late orders/payments cannot be accepted at the school. Change cannot be made for cash payments and checks should be made payable to Strawbridge Studios, Inc.
Spring Individual Picture:
All students in attendance on March 12, 2024, will have their picture taken by a Strawbridge photographer. In approximately 2-3 weeks each student will receive a full package of prints. Parents can purchase these prints online or by sending their payment to the school in the envelope provided with the package. All unwanted prints should also be returned to the school. Again, change cannot be made for cash payments and checks should be made payable to Strawbridge Studios, Inc.

Summer Program Information
2024 Summer Camp Information
Hagood Elementary will not have a summer program this summer (2024) due to our school undergoing construction on our floors! We are excited for this upgrade and apologize for any inconvenience it causes this summer to our families. Below you will find additional district information for summer camps offered.
4th and 5th graders have the opportunity to participate in the following: visual arts, chorus, theatre, and dance. This year, there are no tryouts. Instead, the district will use a teacher recommendation form. The students will seek a related arts teacher recommendation to be submitted digitally.
SDPC CAMP TalentEd is a specialized program that focuses on various forms of visual and performing arts. Each week, a different camp is offered to provide students with the opportunity to explore and develop their artistic talents in a supportive and creative environment. SDPC CAMP TalentEd features professional instructors and performances, allowing students to enhance their skills and express their creativity. It's a great way for young artists to immerse themselves in their passion and connect with others who share their interests.
Each week in June, SDPC CAMP TalentEd will offer a different fine arts camp at D.W. Daniel High School, with a camp celebration on Friday evening. There are no costs for current students enrolled in SDPC including transportation, breakfast, and lunch. Camp hours are from 8:30am - 2:30pm with a celebration each Friday starting at 6:30pm. Students will need to submit the application and acquire a related arts teacher recommendation for consideration.
