Message from the Principal:
Hello Parents! Welcome to March! We're excited for another month of learning and growth with your children. Let's make March a memorable and successful journey together! Please be reminded that GSA writing testing will occur on March 7. Your support in ensuring your child is prepared is greatly appreciated. Student must have their charged chromebook with them to complete the writing test. Also, remember that Friday, March 8 is a Professional Development Day for teachers, so students will have the day off. Thank you for your understanding!

Read Across America
Ready, Set...Read! 📖
NATIONAL READ ACROSS AMERICA DAY (or Dr. Seuss Day) is celebrated each year on March 2nd, the birthday of Dr. Seuss. The annual event is part of Read Across America, an initiative on reading created by the National Education Association. Since the event is designed to encourage reading in children and is fostered through the schools, when March 2nd lands on a weekend, the day is observed on the closest school day.

Happy reading! 📚
Esports Pilot Program
Esports officially stands for electronic sports, not to be confused with video games. Esports takes video gaming to another level with organized competitive gameplay between two teams, governed by its own strict set of rules and guidelines. The difference is comparable to a pick-up basketball game at a park versus a varsity high school basketball game. Esports requires teamwork, communication, critical and strategic thinking, creativity, sportsmanship, and leadership — much like traditional sports.
CTMS will be piloting Jefferson County's first E-Sports program this spring. Interested students will meet during first period with the program's sponsor and compete within our own program. The goal is to grow the program through multiple schools to be able to compete against other schools as early as next year. Our ESports Program will be utilizing Mario Kart and Super Smash Brothers on Nintendo Switch Systems. Our program is looking to fill 24 spots - 8 per grade level.
If your child would be interested in signing up for the Esports Program, please have them fill out and submit the survey below by 3:00 Friday, March 8.
