Re-Registration Packets
Students in grades K- 4 will be bringing home re-registration packets. Please review the information and make updates to the Student Contact Information Form and Student Health History Form. Sign and date both forms and return to school as soon as possible.
Fifth grade students will be recieving registration information from the middle school.
Celebrations
Congratulations to Grace McAllister for receiving the District 202 Award of Excellence. The Awards of Excellence honors teachers and non-administrative staff who have significantly impacted their students, schools, and the community.
Congratulations to our CAPE awards winners! Justin Zak, Teacher of the Year, Grace McAllister Support Staff of the Year, and Vinny Perez, Volunteer of the Year. We are proud and honored to have these amazing individuals positively impacting our learning enviornoment!
April is Occupational Therapy Month
In observance of Occupational Therapy Month in April, we would like to acknowledge and celebrate Rebekah Harnett, our dedicated Occupational Therapist at our school. Mrs. Harnett consistently demonstrates her commitment to assisting and empowering our students, positively impacting their lives in a significant way. We are grateful for the valuable contributions Mrs. Harnett makes to our school community here at TJ.
Occupational Therapy is a vital profession that helps people across the lifespan to do the things they want and need to do through the therapeutic use of daily activities (occupations). Occupational Therapy practitioners enable people of all ages to live life to its fullest by helping them promote health, and prevent- or live better with- injury, illness, or disability.
National Assistant Principal Week
This week is National Assistant Principal Week.
We wish to express our gratitude to Mr. Knobbe for his positive influence within our learning community. Thank you, Mr. Knobbe, for your dedication and positive attitude that you consistently exhibit. Your hard work and contributions to Thomas Jefferson are greatly appreciated.
Administrative Assistant Day April 24, 2024
We would like to acknowledge and celebrate the dedicated professionals who contribute to the efficient operation of our office and building on a daily basis. Their hard work and commitment ensure a smooth experience for our families, visitors, staff, and students. We are grateful for their contributions and fortunate to have them as part of our team at TJ. We recognize and celebrate the efforts of Ms. Rita, Ms. Hilda, and Ms. Laura.
Autism Awareness Month
Fine Arts Night, Wednesday April 10th 1st and 2nd Grade
Please join us for our Fine Arts Night for 1st and 2nd graders at Thomas Jefferson Elementary. Fine Arts Night presentations will last about 30 minutes and will be a demonstration of the skills and abilities of each of the grades while also giving families an inside look to what a daily class lesson would look like in Music. Families will also be able to view student art wrok.

The next PPCN event is April 10, 2024 “Selfies and Screen Time-Social Media’s Impact on our Children’s Body Image” at PNHS starting at 5:30 pm with HERO trailer and resource fair at 6:00 pm and presentation starting at 6:30 pm.

Use your phone to Opt Back in to District and School Messages. Recipients who have opted out of receiving text messages send the text message to 23177 (Emergency) and 53291 (Outreach) in the body of the message type START PSD202 and they will receive a message back stating they have opted back in.

April 8 - Solar Eclipse
April 8 - Solar Eclipse - any student partcipating in the Solar Eclipse viewing must have a permission slipped signed and returned to their child's teacher. Students will only be allowed to use the solar eclipse viewing glasses issued by the school. See the below letter for more information.
