Measures that Matter
What does the data tell you?
What is the cost of absences?
Chronic absence, a strong predictor of lower academic achievement, particularly for children living in poverty, is defined as missing 9% or more of the school year. On average, it takes a student three days to catch up for each day he/she is absent.
Additionally, there is a monetary cost to the school. This is our lost funding for the 23-24 school year compared to the 22-23 school year.
How can parents help?
Let's finish the year strong! We have improved our attendance compared to last school year through December, 2023. In January and February, 2024, we have increased absences compared to the same time period in 2023.
When it is safe to do so, send your child to school each day all day to ensure they are getting a full day of instruction.

Congratulations Devine
The March Junior Coach of the Month is Devine Eybon.
Devine has shown leadership skills during outdoor recess and done a great job with doing cheers with classes. Her teacher reported that Devine is extremely bright and kind. She has grown in her social skills and we could not be happier to be witnesses to it.
Congratulations Devine!!!
