LEAD TESTING AT ST. ALBANS CITY SCHOOL

In the coming month drinking and tap water samples will be collected around the school and sent to the department of health for lead testing.

SOLAR ECLIPSE

Our student families were spread out all around the city and town for the solar eclipse. Some were at Taylor park, others were at Hard'ack and many were at home or nearby houses. As 3:26pm on Monday afternoon approached, people settled into comfortable spots to watch the eclipse using solar glasses. Luckily the day was perfect for outdoor viewing with clear skies and comfortable temperatures. It remained remarkably light until the moment of totality when the skyline gained an appearance of late evening, the temperature dropped, mosquitos came out and the birds settled down. Cheers and whoops of amazement rang out before the sun appeared again. Overall the event was most impressive.

ADVENTURERS EXPLORE TIME - BOLTON

Retired teacher, Ms. Williams, took over Ms. Bolton's classroom on Friday, April 5th. Here are a few pictures from their explore time at various stations around the classroom.

LAST DAY OF OUTDOOR SNOW PLAY FOR 2023/2024 YEAR

The foot of snow that arrived last week had begun to melt on Friday as the Voyagers enjoyed their recess. Conditions were very wet. 4-5-2024

RECYCLE YOUR SOLAR ECLIPSE GLASSES

Glasses can be recycled instead of filling up landfills. The makerspace staff will collect your used glasses and pass them on to an organization that collects them


There will be a cardboard box at school Tuesday - Thursday of this week for collection!

YEAR OF THE BIKE - YOUTH BIKE RIDE CHALLENGE

Here is how to participate: Go on 10 bike rides, note when and where. Drop your completed form at the Saint Albans library by Sept 1st, 2024 and prize winners will be drawn!


You could do 10 rides to school.
