VPMS Weekly Newsletter, March 8, 2024
Message from the Principal
This is our last week before Spring Break! This week we have our spring conferences (see sign-up information in the grade level newsletters) and we have our Triple A Club celebration on Thursday during lunch!
Have a great week!
Prop B: Building Better Schools & Brighter Futures Information
Prop B: Building Better Schools & Brighter Futures, a Zero-Tax Increase Bond Issue, will be on the April 2nd ballot.
Prop B aims to modernize and improve our schools, creating personalized, student-centered, and safe learning environments for all students. If approved, Prop B will repair, renovate, and restore every school, classroom, and restroom in our district, modernize many of our learning spaces, improve our safety and security efforts district-wide, and address critical infrastructure needs.
We invite you to learn more about Prop B, our Zero-Tax Increase Bond Issue, by visiting our website: www.vpschools.org/PropB or by attending an upcoming informational meeting.
Want to Pie a Teacher???
As part of our Triple A celebration, lucky students will be drawn to pie teachers in the face! To determine which teachers are getting pied, we are having penny wars through Wednesday. Dig in the couch, clean out your pockets! Pennies and bills add to a teacher's score, while silver change takes away points. All money will be used to buy books for elementary classrooms.
Triple A Club Celebration
This Thursday during lunch, we will be celebrating all students who achieve Triple A status!
Achievement: Earn al As, Bs, and Cs on 3rd quarter report card.
Attendance: Have 90% attendance, missing no more than 4.5 days
Attitude: Follow the Hawk Vibes! No more than 2 think sheets, no after school detentions, no suspensions
All Triple A students will be given a t-shirt, a certificate, a water bottle sticker, Chick-fil-a lunch, fun and games and ice cream!
We are looking for some parent volunteers to serve lunch on Thursday, March 14 from 11am-12pm. If you are interested in helping, please call Jill at 923-3624.
