Ethan Jones and Alex Leete
Ethan and Alex worked on this book over the course of several weeks. They took turns taking the book home to write chapters and illustrate the pages. They read the book aloud to our class last week. Awesome job boys!
AJ Heller and Oryn Chilson
AJ and Oryn were inspired to write their own book after Ethan and Alex read theirs to our class. Their book was also well written and illustrated. Nice job!
Cassidy Rushmore and Skyler Washington
We created quadrilateral robots to practice identifying and defining different quadrilaterals. Cassidy and Skylar did an excellent job assembling their robots neatly. They also identified and counted the different types of quadrilaterals correctly.
Gabe Foust
Gabe researched and prepared a presentation about solar eclipses over Spring Break. He created a poster to teach our class about the total solar eclipse and he even made handouts and maps to help with his lesson.

Fourth Grade
Students in 4th grade have been learning about our state's Founding Father, William Penn. As a final project they worked in small groups to research and create a timeline highlighting important events of his life. Once posters were completed, presentations were done in front of their classmates.
Lillian Vought - Nellie Bly, Rylee Gledhill - Taylor Swift, Scarlett Clary - Mother Theresa, Ian Dynda - Caitlyn Clark
During Women's History Month, students researched, wrote reports, and presented information to their classmates about famous women. The reports are now on display in the hallway for everyone to read.
Staff Highlight
Kim Watson
Mrs. Watson has demonstrated the proper use of instruments and allowed our students to get hands on experience with learning beats and movement with scarves. She identifies the strengths and struggles with our students and adjusts her lessons accordingly. She displays kindness and patience with all of our students. Thank you, Mrs. Watson!
Mrs. Batterson
National School Librarian Appreciation Day: Mrs. Batterson always goes above and beyond her duties as the school librarian. She provides support for all staff and students with a smile on her face. We appreciate all you do for our school.
Instructional Success
Seventh and Eighth Grade Math
After the third round of CDT's, 67% of 7th graders have shown SIGNIFICANT GROWTH! For the 8th graders, 71% have shown SIGNIFICANT GROWTH! Even though this doesn't necessarily mean a score of proficient on the upcoming PSSA tests, it does mean the students have made huge strides in their academic success this school year! I am very proud of them all!

Coudy Cafe
On Friday, April 12 the Coudy Cafe hosted its 1st annual Falcon Feathers and Farmer Education Day. This program's intent is to expose our students to all the different kinds of agriculture and what's being produced right here in Potter County. We were joined by Betsy Long of Long Farms, Micheal Risser of Riss-Dale Farm, Scott Easton of Easton's Beef and Ashlynn Dunn of Sons of Dunn. Our students got to sample beef from Easton's farm, fresh mozzarella, maple lemonade, and icecream made from cottage cheese. A big THANK YOU to our local farmers.
