Medical Internship Programs for High School Students
Our internship program has had many successful high school and college students, many of whom go on to other internships and full-time positions. We're excited to offer your students a valuable opportunity to join our internship program.
Our interns are treated like staff and are given real-world tasks and responsibilities. Interns have the opportunity to attend community events, network with business leaders and other elected offices, write articles for local news outlets, and enhance their public speaking skills. This internship is a strong opportunity for your students to build their resume and gain professional experience. The Legislative internship program requires a 125-hour commitment. Upon completing the Legislative Internship, students will receive a letter of recommendation and a Certificate of Recognition Award signed by San Diego County Supervisor Joel Anderson. If students later decide to complete an Executive Internship with our office, which requires an additional 125-hour commitment, they may qualify to receive the Presidential Service Award. The work schedule is flexible and can be customized to fit around students' school, work, and other obligations. Additionally, we are open on Saturdays!
May I schedule 3 to 5 minutes where we can share our internship opportunity with your students in your classrooms? We have had great success recruiting from the classes we visit, and I would love to give your students the opportunity to level up their career or explore their interests.
