Bus Zone - New App from Durham
BusZone is a parent/guardian app that works seamlessly with the dispatcher portal used by Durham Bus Company. This self-service app enables parents to see the location of their child's school bus on a smartphone, tablet, or personal computer. The web-based dispatcher portal allows Durham the ability to manage buses and drivers, and gives them the ability to send informative messages to parents about late-running buses, closures, etc.
Know your child got on the bus safely with the new BusZone app from Durham Bus Company. Download it for free in your app store and use school access code: 3061SRSD
Key Features
- view a real-time, map-based bus locator
- guaranteed parent/guardian and student information privacy
- create custom zones for each stop and facility. Then receive alerts based on when your child arrives.
- Receive alerts from the bus company based on your child's bus route
See the Transportation Page of our website for more information!

Evan Couldry
"My hope is to help the district with upcoming improvements and repairs. I would like to improve our schools for both the staff and students inside our district. We are a very proud district, and I want to see that reflected in our buildings."
Rebecca Bledsoe
"I have been on the SR3 school board for the last 6 years and I feel we are at a very important time -- our School District is progressing. We are truly in a great position, and I want to ensure we continue the path we are on. We have a multi-million-dollar project in the works at the high school; we have done district-wide updates at every building, increased teachers' salaries, expanded our sports programs, and many other things. Next year, we will also have new leadership, a new superintendent, and a new assistant superintendent. So, when I reflected on where we are, especially after the last several years post-COVID, I felt it was important to rerun to help our board stay consistent so we could continue pushing our district forward. It's an exciting time to be a Savage!"
Deb Wenzel
"I feel that we have some good leadership from top to bottom. Lots of people are working hard to better the district, and we have a great staff. I feel as a board member that I am one of them. I feel that I have made a difference in many ways to better our schools I've spent all 41 years of Teaching with Savannah. "

Looking for more ways to share the love with SR3 Staffers?
A few years ago, the district began hosting an end-of-the-year celebration to honor the dedication of our staff members, recognize our retirees, and present awards of Excellence. We invite everyone who loves the SR3 staff as much as we do to participate in this fantastic event.
One of our favorite parts of the celebration is the give away prizes! Donating a give away item is an easy way for you to be involved. We will gladly accept any (school appropriate) items you would like to donate but here are some ideas:
Gift certificate to a local business
Savannah R3 Swag (hats, tumblers, car decals, notebooks, signs, etc.)
Fresh flower arrangements or potted plants
Themed gift baskets (please, no alcohol)
Flair pens, Expo Markers, Sharpies (you would be surprised how excited our staffers get over fancy office supplies!)
