GMS Falcon Update

Congratulations to three Graham Middle School students who excelled at the History Bee Regional Finals and Qualified for the National Final. 6th Grader Lydia Dibert and 8th graders Mason Burrall and Maddex Cushard qualified to participate in the National Finals which will take place in Orlando, Florida in late May. Congratulations to all who participated in the Regional Competition!

State testing is just around the corner, after Spring Break. We ask that we ensure students are here on time, eat breakfast, and are in the right mindset. Remind them that all we can ever expect is that students give their best effort, that's all that is within their control !

Graham Middle School was approached by an Urbana Moose Riders member about an opportunity to support our families in need who would like to have a student attend the Washington DC trip. They are holding a raffle for multiple bicycles and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the DC scholarship fund. We are very grateful for their consideration! We have agreed to share this information and have access to tickets for anyone interested. Tickets will be cash only and you do not need to be present to win. If you want to view the bikes in person, they are located at Whitman's Bike Shop here in St. Paris.

There are only 5 student spots remaining. Please be sure if you made initial payments that you are up to date. If anyone is still looking to join the trip, we suggest you move quickly as we are already two payments in and those spots will be filled on a first come basis.

We expect to be at Quote #1 for the total cost = $912.00

Next payment due: April 12th ($225)

Graham Middle School is collecting eclipse glasses for recycling. We have a donor who will help us ship them to families in Latin America who will have the chance to see the next solar eclipse. Glasses will be accepted through Monday of next week.

We have confirmed with the HS and Elem offices and they can be turned in there as well.

The Graham Middle School Falcon 5K is now accepting sponsorships for this year. There are varied levels of sponsorship for businesses, individuals, or families. Sponsorship also comes with complimentary participation. We also hope many can be on hand to share more information about your business with runners/walkers/onlookers.

Open gyms for middle school and high school girls basketball will take place every Tuesday from 5:00pm-7:00pm at Graham Middle School. If you are interested in playing next year, we would love to have you whenever able, even if you have not played before! This is a fun, positive time to try something new or continue to work on your game. Bring some friends and let's continue to build a strong family!

Frontline Education has released the ProgressBook Parent and Student Mobile App (aka ParentAccess app) to the Google Play Store and Apple App Store. This app is available for your parents/students to download and use now. For those that choose to download, the app takes the place of the mobile web version of ParentAccess that parents and students have long used. In addition, Frontline has produced an overview video that can be shared with your users (video link is also in the attached instructional sheet).
