Great news! Timber Ridge School has partnered with Smile Illinois-Mobile Dentists to come and provide in-school dental care on Thursday, March 14, 2024. Enrolling your child to see the Mobile Dentists is a wonderful opportunity to give them preventive dental care easily and conveniently right at school. Your child will receive dental care from a state-licensed dentist. The mobile dental exam fulfills the state dental requirements for kindergarten, Grade 2, and Grade 6. The program accepts all insurance, including Medicaid and CHIP. For those without insurance, a low-cost self-pay option is available.

Congratulations to McKinley Scheppler, our #NSSEOHeartbeat of the week! With a massive positive impact in only a couple short years, McKinley shines with her unique ability to connect to our Timber Ridge students. We are delighted she is on our team! Congrats McKinley!

She is a staple in room Timber Ridge room 115. We can not wait to see what her future brings her as she is working full time while in school for her MSW! February saw our students enjoy warmer than expected weather at Sunrise Lake this past month. Still, fun and exploration happened through hiking, team building activities, campfires and learning about various animals that are native to our area!

We look forward to heading back in the Spring!

Last week, Timber Ridge hosted their Honor Roll Breakfast. It is a special event where we honor our students for their hard work, dedication to success, and their supportive families helping in the background. We are so proud of all our students' positive strides this year! Take a look at some of our amazing students below.

The Timber Ridge basketball team has a record of 4-1 heading into march where they will end their season with a makeup game on March 13th. Students attribute their success this season to teamwork and the dedication they put in when they practice. Timber Ridge is a member of the Chicago Area Alternative Education League (CAAEL) where students participate in a variety of sports including basketball, softball, flag football, soccer and bowling. Although Basketball will be wrapping up, softball is right around the corner!
