World Down Syndrome Day is March 21st and is a global awareness day! The date for WDSD being the 21st day of the 3rd month, was selected to signify the uniqueness of the triplication (trisomy) of the 21st chromosome which causes Down syndrome.

Visitors can use this form to pre-register to come cheer on your child at the Fun Run event taking place on Friday, March 22nd. See the schedule for grade levels in the RSVP from below.

While visitors are welcome at the Fun Run, Ninja Nation will be for students only throughout this day.

If your ID has been scanned previously at the front desk, McClure staff will be able to preprint your tag which allows us to speed up the line for check-ins.

• Complete this form for each adult planning to attend.
• Parents of students in multiple grades should complete the form multiple times.
• Visitors without a pre-printed tag will need to check-in at the office.
• All guests will be required to show ID.
• All RSVPs must be received by Thursday, March 21st, for your tag to be pre-printed.
• After the event ends parents will need to turn in their visitor badge and exit promptly.

Your student will be bringing home an intent to return letter with their report card on Wednesday. Please complete this form for each of your students and return to your homeroom teacher. This form will help our campus to plan staffing for the 24-25 school year. We will use this form to send out snap codes for the 24-25 school year registration. Please ensure that the guardian email listed on the form is correct.

We are excited to see everyone at Open House from 6:00-7:00pm. This is a come and go event for your Marshal to show off their hard work. Parking is limited at school wide events. Please only park in parking spaces. Do not park on the grass, sidewalks or medians. Please make sure that you stop by and check the lost and found. We will be donating all items left at the end of March.

It is imperative that we all follow our arrival and dismissal procedures in order to keep all of our Marshals safe. Your student may be dropped off through carpool lane or parent walk up in the morning. If you are walking your student up to the front entrance, you will need to park in the South parking, cross the crosswalk, and then follow the sidewalk up to the front doors. Please DO NOT use the handicapped parking spots if you do not have proper permitting. Please follow the traffic flows on the maps below in order to allow our traffic to flow smoothly.

If you are picking your student up in carpool or parent walk-up, please make sure you have your McClure student pick up number with you for the 23-24 school year. For safety reasons the color of the tag changes yearly. Staff members will only release your student with the current year's tag.

Please use the correct location for your student's dismissal.

Please DO NOT park in the bus lane at any time during the day. This includes arrival and dismissal. The fire lane is for Daycare, School Buses and emergency vehicles only!

A valid state or government issued photo ID must be presented each time you visit, volunteer, or pick up a student. Please be prepared with your ID upon arrival. We are not allowed to accept a photo of your government issued photo ID.

Interested in volunteering in McKinney ISD for the 2023-2024 school year? Volunteer applications are being accepted for the upcoming school year. McKinney ISD requires all volunteers complete the required volunteer process each school year.

All volunteers with McKinney ISD agree to a background check each school year prior to beginning volunteer duties. McKinney ISD is dedicated to making sure that all students have the opportunity to learn and grow in a safe and secure environment.

The volunteer application process is just one effort used by the school administration to help make our schools safe.

VOLUNTEER APPLICATIONS MAY TAKE UP TO TWO WEEKS TO BE PROCESSED.

Once your volunteer application is processed and the criminal background check is complete, you will receive an e-mail notification regarding your application from the MISD Human Resources department.

McClure PTO is a group of parents (moms and dads) working in partnership with school staff to help keep families informed and involved.

Studies have shown students do better in school when parents are engaged at school.
