Gettys Middle: Weekly Newsletter
March 18 - March 22
Message from Mr. Nelson
Dear GMS Families,
This week and next week, students will be taking the MAP test for ELA and Math. This test will allow students to see the growth that they have made throughout the year. We are so proud of the hard work of our students and teachers this year to help students grow as strong and independent readers and critical thinkers and problem solvers. Please encourage your child to get good rest this week and to do their best work on the MAP tests. As always, we appreciate your support!
Have a great week!
Jacob Nelson
Principal, Gettys Middle School
Club Meetings This Week:
Sports This Week:
There are no sporting events this week.
Our Orchestra students participated in the State Orchestra Concert Performance Assessment on March 7 at Furman University. The students prepared two pieces of music to perform for a panel of three judges. They also sight-read a piece of music. Our GMS Orchestra students earned an Excellent rating and brought another trophy back to GMS! We are so proud of their hard work to prepare for this event!
